Vaiie Programme Manager Adam Brown has been awarded fellowship status of the Association for Project Management (APM) in recognition of commitment to the project profession.

Adam joins a select group of 826 global APM fellows and is only the second from Jersey to receive this recognition.

The APM is the only chartered membership organisation representing the project profession in the world. With a mission of "Inspiring communities to deliver meaningful change for societal benefit by advancing the art, science, theory and practice of project management".

Fellowship is awarded to those who have made a significant personal, ongoing contribution to the project management profession by meeting at least one of the following criteria:

  • Recognition for advancing the knowledge and understanding of project management
  • Contribution to others in the profession
  • Shaping the profession

Adam’s fellowship was awarded following independent review, where he was judged to meet all three criteria and can now use the post-nominal letters FAPM. Upon receiving the recognition, Adam said:

Project Management is a profession which plays a significant role in economic growth of companies and economies, and yet it remains a career which many people fall into. I am honoured to receive fellowship status in recognition of giving back to a profession that has provided me with an exceptional career.I am proud to be part of the APM, and I am a committee member for the Channel Islands branch, please get in touch if you would like to hear more about the APM and local activity.
