Roundup of 2021

Picture for Roundup of 2021

In 2021, Vaiie had an extremely productive and rewarding year.

We have grown and strengthened our team, launched new products relaunched our website, enjoyed involvement in several award ceremonies and helped support Jersey’s digital future by engaging the younger generation.

We are thrilled to share our highlights of 2021.

Culture is key

At Vaiie we promote an inclusive, collaborative, open and creative culture. As a business we’re committed to attracting and retaining the best talent to help to drive growth ensuring excellent client satisfaction. Throughout 2021, we bolstered our business with new hires, Richard Gaudin, Adam Brown, Luke Hopton, Hannah Falvey and Louise Flynn. Each of whom fit perfectly into the Vaiie team and play an invaluable role in providing us with the necessary skills and expertise to elevate Vaiie’s offering in the market.

Celebrating the exceptional digital aptitude of Jersey’s youth

Vaiie was delighted to be one of the key category sponsors in February’s Digital Jersey Tech Awards. These awards celebrate the very best of Jersey’s digital talent, creativity, and entrepreneurship, and this year the awards received the highest number of nominations, totalling 107 entries across the 13 categories. It was important to us to sponsor the Junior Technology Student of the Year award as we want to celebrate and encourage young adults in tech. The Junior Technology Student of the Year is a school pupil who shows exceptional aptitude, ability and/or interest in technology. The winner of this award was a student who designed a solar powered portable charger.

Institute of Directors (IoD) – Director of the Year Awards

In September, the Group were proud silver sponsors of the IoD Awards, sponsoring the ‘Large Business – Director of the Year’ award. The awards celebrate strong leadership and recognise excellence across the private, public and third sectors of Jersey’s community. An expanded ten categories were opened to nominations for the inspirational individuals who have led their organisations through the challenges of 2021. We are thrilled that Lee Bosio, Vaiie’s Managing Director, won ‘Young Director of the Year’, a real testament to his valued leadership of the Vaiie team.

Protecting us and our clients - International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Accreditation

In September, we gained ISO 27001 accreditation meaning that our information security services, and processes have been recognised as world-class in their quality, safety, and efficiencies. As an organisation, we handle over 12 million documents a year and therefore this framework not only coordinates and strengthens the security practices already in place but also gives our clients and partners the confidence that as a business we securely handle data.

New Website Launch

We were really excited to launch our new website in September, revealing our new branding and an easier to navigate platform. The culmination of teamwork, dedication and creativity, the new website helps potential customers discover the right Vaiie regulatory technology solution by providing pathways to key content which have direct outcomes.

The new website launch also revealed our new solution branding which shows how each of our offerings is connected to a wider ecosystem of tools, designed to help businesses meet their regulatory obligations. Another facet to the new website was ensuring that our customers have a positive user experience, as such we placed usability and website performance and speed among our top priorities.

Jersey Finance Fintech Demo Day

At Vaiie we recognise the value of Fintech, as more and more firms do business remotely in a digital world, we strive to stay at forefront of industry technology. We were excited to attend the Fintech Demo Day held by Jersey Finance in November, showcasing Fintech products and leadership trends in the areas of productivity, regulatory technology, and innovation. The event highlighted the very best technology solutions available from Jersey based Fintechs to Jersey Finance members. We were delighted to showcase how our regtech solutions solve real world problems, enhance the way clients onboard, verify and connect with their customers while maintaining regulatory obligations.

Nurturing the next generation of digital visionaries

In the second half of 2021, Vaiie proudly partnered with Victoria College Preparatory School as the school’s first Foundation Partner. In the first Foundation Partner relationship of its kind, Vaiie was the sole sponsors of iPads for the school’s Year 3 intake, an initiative that allows students in Year 3 to learn through technology over the course of their journey at the preparatory school. As a digital business, we are strong advocates that technology integration in schools can support both students and teachers. Devices help remove barriers some students face in accessing learning resources, and it’s fantastic that we were able support initiatives like this, whereby education can become more accessible to the students. We are committed to the next generation and will continue to collaborate with students at VCP through their coding, touch-typing, computing classes, career talks and participate as judges in their annual coding competition.

Looking Ahead

In 2022 we are looking forward to continuing to grow our business and evolve our product line to meet the ever-changing requirements of the finance industry. We will continue to provide a top-level service to all our customers, and we look forward to building on those relationships as well as welcoming new customers to Vaiie.
