We have an exceptional team and are fortunate to work with amazing clients and suppliers – you know who you are and we know some of you even wear Vaiie hoodies.

JerseyMe

Powered by our Vaiie Identify solution, we launched JerseyMe in June and we have seen thousands of Islanders sign-up to use the service. JerseyMe is a web-based solution, adapted for the Government of Jersey, that allows Islanders to control their own identity verification. Through the interface, Islanders use their internet enabled device to complete the process to set up a JerseyMe account. Secure ID-authentication is not just limited to those with online access. Through Vaiie’s position as part of the Jersey Post Group, JerseyMe provides customers with phone and in person support at Broad Street Post Office. Dedicated staff can help customers to set up their JerseyMe, if they don’t have a smartphone. Success of JerseyMe has seen Vaiie and Government nominated for a Digital Jersey TechAward.

Communicate

Our communicate business has grown during 2022, we have acquired new customers in the utilities sector and grown our service footprint in the high-net-worth private banking sectors. We have grown the product offering from traditional statements to high quality brochures and marketing material.

Social

Working at Vaiie is a highly social affair, we have kept our work-life balance right with team breakfasts, cocktail making, park runs and the Vaiie Running Club, karaoke nights and in September we held our annual staff boat trip.

Team Changes and Growth

During the year we have said farewell to colleagues but have continued to grow the team, including two office dogs, Bear and Paisley. Due to client demand and a rich product backlog, we have hired four new developers and a new product manager. All are Jersey based hires which for us is exceptionally important as local knowledge of the financial services sector permeates through all our work and it brings that extra flourish to our solutions.

Insights

We are a regular contributor to local media where we have a unique take on RegTech and digital solutions, who can forget our article analysing whether identity verification tools could have prevented fraud in the hit Netflix show Inventing Anna. We contributed to the debate on RegTech innovation and adoption in our article RegTech in Jersey Closing the Gap Between Ambition and Reality. In our August knowledge item It’s an employee’s market, how to be the company people want to work for, we shared our insights on culture and how we have created a high performing team. As part of October’s Cyber Security Awareness Month we explored Identity theft: significant and far reaching consequences for citizens and businesses in Jersey. In November we welcomed C-Suite and compliance officers to a packed event at the Royal Yacht where we launched out biggest insights report yet The Future of Client Onboarding.

Industry Engagement

Vaiie are proud to have supported Government, the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Jersey Finance, and Digital Jersey. Throughout the year, we have participated in calls and working groups on Outsourcing, Digital ID Systems, and obliged entities. With both finance and tech expertise, we provide valuable insights to help ensure that upcoming regulatory or economic changes have a technology lens.

Sponsorship

During the year, we have sponsored events with the School of International Financial Services, Jersey’s Cyber Emergency Response Team, Institute of Directors, and the Chamber of Commerce. We have partnered with Appleby on events, welcomed clients and key industry players on our hosted tables, and made new contacts through event participation.

Education

In July we welcomed Chris Mayer, winner of the Digital Jersey TechAward student of the year to the Vaiie Studio, we supported Digital Jersey and Skills Jersey at October’s annual skills show. We have continued our partnership with Victoria Collage Prep with events and sponsorship throughout the year.

2022 has certainly been eventful, we have continued to provide outstanding service to existing clients, welcomed new clients, and become an approved identity provider to the Government of Jersey. With a growing team and high ambition, we are excited about the prospects for 2023. To find out more about Vaiie contact us at hello@vaiie.com.
